Olynyk will be sidelined for at least the next six weeks due to a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.

Olynyk suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's win over the Rockets. He went for tests Thursday and they revealed the severity of the knee injury. He will be re-evaluated in six weeks by the team medical staff, meaning he could possibly be out longer than that. The ninth-year big man was averaging 12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals in 23 minutes per game while serving as one of the primary bench players for Detroit.
