Banton (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) played 24 minutes and provided seven points (3-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt), six assists an three rebounds Sunday in the Raptors' 144-99 loss to the Cavaliers.
Though Banton was back in action after a two-game absence, the Raptors still had an NBA-high 10 players in the health and safety protocols heading into Sunday, contributing to the team having only three men available off the bench. Banton picked up his first career NBA start as a result of all the missing players, but his poor shooting prevented him from capitalizing on the opportunity. Toronto is expected to return at least one or two more players from the protocols before Tuesday's game against the 76ers, and another replacement player or two could be added to the roster as well. As such, Banton may not see his minutes expand much, if at all, from what he saw Sunday.
