Spurs' Tony Parker: Will miss rest of postseason with ruptured quad

Parker's MRI on Thursday revealed he has a ruptured left quadriceps tendon and will miss the remainder of the playoffs.

This was the expectation prior to the official results on the MRI, so the Spurs will now have to attempt to make it back to the NBA Finals without their starting point guard. On top of missing the postseason, Parker remains without a timetable for his return, so it's unclear at this time how long the injury will keep him out beyond the end of the season. In his absence, look for Patty Mills to take his place as the starter and play a heavy dosage of minutes, with rookie Dejounte Murray likely entering the rotation to serve as his backup.
