Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Scores game-high 26 points

Wembanyama scored 26 points (11-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT) while adding seven rebounds, two assists and a steal across 30 minutes in France's 98-87 loss to USA in the gold medal game Saturday.

Wembanyama had tough matchups throughout the game, and while the French team couldn't win the gold medal, the 20-year-old had a strong showing in the final game of the tournament. Wembanyama will rest for a few weeks before preparing for the start of the 2024-25 NBA season with the Spurs.
