Reid (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) played 12 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 96-88 loss to the Knicks, finishing with three points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one block.
Though Reid was only in the protocols for two days and missed one game as a result, the Timberwolves didn't call on him to handle a major workload in his return, even with Karl-Anthony Towns still in the protocols. Instead, head coach Chris Finch deployed Reid as the primary backup at power forward to Jaden McDaniels, while Nathan Knight and Greg Monroe covered the minutes at center while Towns remained out. Minnesota could remain without Towns for Friday's game in Utah, but it's unclear if Reid will benefit from a major uptick in playing time.
