McGriff signed a 10-day contract with the Trail Blazers on Sunday.
The 6-foot-7 forward out of Oklahoma State was one of three players who joined Portland on 10-day deals Sunday with the Trail Blazers set to play without at least eight members of their roster Monday against the Mavericks. Due to the numerous missing players, McGriff should have the opportunity to make his NBA debut at some point in the next week and a half, though he won't be guaranteed a sizable role off the Portland bench. The 24-year-old has made 14 appearances this season with the G League's Greensboro Swarm, averaging 10.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22.4 minutes per contest.
