As each block, rebound and dunk piles up, it becomes harder and harder to doubt what Hassan Whiteside is doing for the Heat. When he first burst onto the scene for the Heat, he was putting up big per-minute numbers while racking up fouls and playing five-minute spurts against unsuspecting opposing second units.

Over the last few weeks, however, Whiteside has been playing big minutes against opposing team's best big men, and has only gotten better. He is averaging 13.4 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game in 13 games since the start of January, numbers that would make him a top-10 Fantasy center in both H2H points and category-based Fantasy formats, and he is doing that in just 24.2 minutes per game. Owners who had the foresight -- let's call it luck -- to grab Whiteside when he was starting to take off are holding on to him tightly, but what could they reasonably expect to get from him in return if they did look to trade White side?

Whiteside's trade value has increased dramatically over the last week weeks, naturally. He made his trade value chart debut in Week 12, when he had a score of eight in both H2H and Roto leagues. He was at 11 last week, before jumping all the way up to 18, where he sits at the moment. That meteoric rise mirrors the one D.J. Augustin has enjoyed since becoming the Pistons' starting point guard, and all he has done over the last five games is average 21.8 points and 9.2 assists per game as a starter. As good as Augustin has been, I think I might be willing to give him up if I could get Whiteside -- though I'm not even sure the Whiteside owner would do it.

That is ultimately the problem with trying to include Whiteside in a trade, for both sides. With how dominant he has been, you might not be able to afford moving him, unless you are absolutely blown away. If someone throws Jimmy Butler or Victor Oladipo at the Whiteside owner, it might be hard to turn that kind of trade down. Of course, we're still talking about someone with just 400 minutes under his belt total this season.

As tantalizing as Whiteside is, he might be untradeable -- and un-trade-for-able -- in Fantasy right now. You're not moving Whiteside unless you are blown away, but there is still enough downside with his foul rate and lack of track record that it might be too much to ask to really pay what it's going to cost to get him. But if you are looking to vulture Whiteside from someone in your league, be prepared to pay a high price.
