Dinwiddie finished Friday's preseason game against the Knicks with 17 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and three assists.

The Wizards treated the exhibition finale like a regular-season tune-up, so Dinwiddie was able to see 26 minutes of action as one of seven Wizards players who topped 20 minutes. Through four preseason appearances, Dinwiddie posted averages of 13.5 points, 4.8 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 threes in 23.5 minutes per game. He'll open the season as the Wizards' starting point guard, stepping into the role vacated by Russell Westbrook.
