  • Casspi will draw the start at small forward for Sunday's game against the Nets, Chris Haynes of ESPN reports. The Warriors are set to be without Kevin Durant (ankle) on Sunday, which allows Casspi to pick up the start in his place. After averaging just 10.1 minutes so far this season, Casspi should see a sizable increase in his workload Sunday, giving him punt-play potential for Sunday's DFS slate. Still, with guys like Andre Iguodala and Patrick McCaw also available to help soak up Durant's minutes, it could be more of a committee approach than anything.

  • Casspi posted 13 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, two steals, three blocked shots and an assist across 20 minutes in Wednesday's 126-101 win over the Timberwolves. Casspi looked right at home on the floor with the first unit Wednesday, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see this performance earn him some additional playing time. He appeared to be a fan favorite in the game, probably because he just looked like he was enjoying himself! Caspi dealt with an ankle issue earlier in the season and has only played sparingly. Kevin Durant's (thigh) absence gave him the opportunity to see season-highs in minutes, points, blocks and steals. The team expects Durant to be back for Saturday's game against the 76ers, so Casspi will probably not see this kind of production for a while.

  • Warriors' Omri Casspi: Set to return Monday
    By RotoWire Staff

Casspi (ankle) will return to action Monday against the Mavericks, Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. After missing two games with an ankle sprain, Casspi will once again be an option off the bench for coach Steve Kerr. In the Warriors' opening-night loss to Houston, Casspi played four minutes and did not attempt a field goal.

  • Casspi (ankle) is listed as probable to play in Monday's game against the Mavericks. Casspi has been held out of each of the last two games after suffering the ankle sprain in the Warriors' season opener against the Rockets. It looks like he'll be set to return Monday, and confirmation will likely come following the team's morning shootaround.

  • Casspi (ankle) will not play Saturday against Memphis, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Casspi tweaked his right ankle during the season-opener Tuesday, and he'll miss a second straight contest after sitting out Friday's win over the Pelicans. The sharpshooting wing was close to making a return Saturday, so consider him optimistically questionable for Monday's game in Dallas.
