  • Matthews tallied 22 points (8-14 FG, 6-8 3Pt), eight assists, two rebounds and two steals across 33 minutes in Saturday's 111-79 victory over the Bucks. Matthews was able to find his shot on Saturday, leading the Mavericks to an easy victory. As is the case every season, he has been inconsistent from the field, shooting at only 35 percent for the season. On nights like this, he demonstrates his upside, but these performances are few and far between. He remains more of a streaming option if you are in need of three-pointers.

  • Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Available vs. Wolves
    By RotoWire Staff

Matthews (foot) will be available for Saturday's game against Minnesota, Earl Sneed of Mavs.com reports. Matthews was initially deemed a game-time decision, but he's been cleared to play after testing the foot during warmups. Expect the veteran to play his usual compliment of minutes Saturday.

  • Matthews is a game-time call for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News reports. It's unclear what, exactly, is afflicting Matthews but he's apparently battling a foot issue, and a decision on his status won't come until closer to tip. In the event he's held out, expect Yogi Ferrell and J.J. Barea to see increased minutes.

  • Matthews registered eight points (3-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes in Monday's 104-89 loss to the Jazz. Like most of his teammates on the first unit, Matthews couldn't get much going on the offensive end against a tough Utah defense. The nine-year veteran saw his streak of five consecutive double-digit scoring efforts and four straight games with better than 50.0 percent shooting come to an end. However, he continued his blistering run from three-point range, one that's seen him drain 63.2 percent of his 19 shots from behind the arc over the latter span.

  • Matthews scored 19 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3PT, 6-7 FT) to go along with six rebounds, two assists and three steals over 33 minutes in a 112-110 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday. Matthews continued his hot streak from beyond the arc, hitting at least 50.0 percent of his attempts for the third straight game. Since struggling with his shot in the first three games, the shooting guard is shooting 53.4 percent from the floor in the last four games, averaging 18.0 points. Matthews will look to continue his current upswing in production against Utah on Monday.
