  • Magic's Jerian Grant: Will be dealt to Orlando
    By RotoWire Staff

Grant, along with Timofey Mozgov, has been dealt to the Magic in principle in a three-team deal that includes Bismack Biyombo moving to Charlotte and Julyan Stone heading to Chicago, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Grant was unlikely to find significant run on the Bulls this season with the organization committed to Kris Dunn and Cameron Payne. In being dealt to Orlando -- a team that traded its starting point guard, Elfrid Payton, in February -- Grant will have an opportunity to play a rotational role and possibly even compete for the starting job.

  • Bulls' Jerian Grant: Career season
    By RotoWire Staff

Grant registered 8.4 points, 4.6 assists and 2.3 rebounds over 74 games played with the Bulls during the 2017-18 season. Grant a career year in 2017-18 as he managed career bests in points (despite seeing a decline in shooting and free-throw percentage), assists, rebounds and steals. The former Notre Dame star should look to improve his poor 32.6 percent three-point shooting percentage come next season, as that will add another arsenal to his game. The 24-year-old is under contract for next year with a price tag of about $2.6 million with a qualifying offer in 2019-20.

  • Grant went for 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and one rebound across 28 minutes in Saturday's 124-96 loss to the Nets. Grant has developed into a reliable source of second-unit scoring punch over the first four games of April, averaging 13.0 points on 51.3 percent shooting across 26.5 minutes during that stretch. The third-year guard had been rounding out his production with some solid steal numbers prior to Saturday also, as he'd posted multiple swipes in three straight. Given his steady second -unit role, Grant offers some utility as a DFS punt play over the final two games of the campaign.

  • Bulls' Jerian Grant: Plays 26 minutes in victory
    By RotoWire Staff

Grant compiled 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, two steals and one rebound in 26 minutes during Sunday's 113-94 victory over Washington. Grant played 26 minutes for the second consecutive game as the Bulls continue to shuffle their rotations on a nightly basis. After initially being taken out of the rotation after the All-star break, he has now played in eight consecutive games. He doesn't offer a lot in terms of fantasy but can rack up the assists when given the opportunity. He still remains an option in deeper leagues only.

  • Grant is not expected to be a part of the Bulls' regular rotation after the All-Star break, KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports. With the Bulls marching toward the lottery, they'll move Grant out of the rotation in favor of Cameron Payne (foot), who will take over as the team's backup point guard once he returns from a lengthy injury absence. The decision is a bit of a head-scratcher, though it appears to be a thinly veiled attempt to develop young talent and improve Chicago's draft pick, as veteran Robin Lopez will also move into a reduced role. Leading up to the break, Grant had been starting in place of Kris Dunn while he recovered from a concussion, averaging nearly 35 minutes per game during that span. With Dunn now back and Payne expected to be available in the very near future, Grant looks to have very little fantasy utility over the final two months of the regular season.
