  • Kings' Willie Cauley-Stein: Quiet in finale
    By RotoWire Staff

Cauley-Stein offered eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 FT) and five rebounds across 17 minutes in the Kings' 136-131 loss to the Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Cauley-Stein failed to eclipse 20 minutes in each of his last two games of the season, but he was efficient while averaging 8.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist across that pair of contests. The fourth-year big finished the regular season with 11.9 points, a career-high 8.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and a career-best 1.2 steals across 27.3 minutes over 81 games. Cauley-Stein is a restricted free agent this offseason, and it remains to be seen how much interest the 25-year-old will generate from other clubs.

  • Kings' Willie Cauley-Stein: Not with team Friday
    By RotoWire Staff

Cauley-Stein will not play in Friday's game against the Jazz for personal reasons, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. The circumstances surrounding Cauley-Stein's absence are unknown, so it's unclear if this is just a one-game absence or one that could extend to the final two games of the season. Regardless, with Cauley-Stein out of Friday's lineup, rookie Marvin Bagely should be in line for plenty of usage in the frontcourt, with veteran center Kosta Koufos also potentially seeing additional minutes.

  • Cauley-Stein had just two points and five rebounds in 21 minutes during Tuesday's 130-105 loss to Houston. Cauley-Stein was basically invisible on both ends of the floor Tuesday, ending the game with just two points and five rebounds. He had been trending in the right direction prior to this game and if you had been holding onto him, he probably deserves at least one more game, if you can afford to be a little patient. Alternatively, if there is a hot free-agent available, dropping him is certainly not the worst idea.

  • Kings' Willie Cauley-Stein: Scoring on an uptick
    By RotoWire Staff

Cauley-Stein generated 17 points (6-9 FG, 5-5 FT), six rebounds and two steals in 30 minutes Sunday in the Kings' 113-106 win over the Spurs. With Harry Giles (thigh) still sidelined, Cauley-Stein cleared 30 minutes for third time in four games and again delivered a solid performance on offense. Though he's shooting a career-worst 54.4 percent from the charity stripe this season, Cauley-Stein at least seems to have turned a corner of late with an 11-for-13 mark over his past four outings.
