  • Thomas will start Friday against the Nuggets, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Most of the key Raptors players are sitting out the seeding finale, so Thomas will start for the first time this season. In the four games in which he's seen at least 20 minutes, he's averaged 12.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals.

  • Thomas scored 22 points (9-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt), four boards and one assist in 37 minutes of a 114-106 win against Milwaukee on Monday. Thomas set a career high in points with his dominant shooting performance off the bench. The rookie had mostly been a bit player since the restart but began to find his groove with back-to-back six point outings before his 22-point outburst. He'll have two more seeding games beginning with Philadelphia on Wednesday to compete for an extended role before he's likely to see his minutes diminish again when the playoffs start.

  • Thomas had 16 points (5-8 FG, 4-7 3PT, 2-2 FT) in Sunday's scrimmage against Portland. The sharpshooter drilled four threes in 18 minutes off the bench, in addition to providing two rebounds and an assist. Thomas wasn't a major factor for the Raptors before the shutdown, but his pedigree as a shooter is impressive, and he could be relied upon as a floor-spacer in certain playoff lineups.

  • Thomas tallied 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-7 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 15 minutes during Sunday's 127-81 win over the Pacers. Thomas filled it up offensively, finishing with career highs in scoring and made threes. It's pretty unlikely that Thomas would have produced such an impressive performance if not for the blowout nature of the contest, but regardless it was a sensational shooting display from the 25-year-old rookie.

  • Thomas produced 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three steals and one assist in 22 minutes during Saturday's 119-118 win over the Nets. Thomas finished with career highs in scoring, steals, threes and minutes and matched his career high in rebounding, stepping up on the second night of a back-to-back with the club dealing with several injuries. Thomas has appeared in only 22 tilts thus far this season and he's mostly a three-point specialist, but this was by far the rookie's best showing to date.
