Mason tallied 22 points (9-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 28 minutes Sunday in Wisconsin's loss to Grand Rapids. Despite coming off the bench for the second straight game, Mason led Wisconsin with 22 points and 18 field-goal attempts. This was his first performance of 20-plus points since March 11, when he scored 24 against the Cleveland Charge. Mason's best game for the Herd was a 30-point performance in his second contest with the club back on March 4.

  • Frank Mason: Scores 17 points in G League loss

Mason finished with 17 points (7-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three assists and two rebounds over 27 minutes in Wisconsin's loss to Raptors 905 on Friday. Mason was the Herd's leading bench scorer in the loss, and he finished with his highest point total since March 11. The 27-year-old has logged some DNPs of late, though he has been a solid contributor for Wisconsin when on the court. Mason is averaging 15.7 points, 5.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 2.1 three-pointers in seven games for the Herd.

  • Frank Mason: Leads Wisconsin in scoring Friday

Mason totaled 24 points (9-18 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists and four rebounds across 32 minutes Friday in Wisconsin's loss to Cleveland. Mason came off the bench after a two-game stint as a starter, but that didn't prevent him from leading the Herd in scoring Friday. The 27-year-old also tied for the team lead with seven assists and knocked down four of six three-point attempts. Aside from a seven-point dud against Capital City last Saturday, Mason has been excellent in four games with Wisconsin, and he has played over 28 minutes in each appearance with the Herd thus far.

  • Frank Mason: Drops 30 in G League win

Mason tallied 30 points (13-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four assists, two rebounds and one steal across 33 minutes for Wisconsin in Friday's 131-129 win over Capital City. In just his second game with the Herd, Mason led the team in scoring with an efficient shooting performance. The 5-foot-11 guard notched his first 30-point performance of the campaign and tied his season high with three three-pointers. This was Mason's first start for Wisconsin, and he may find himself in that role going forward if he continues to produce as he did Friday.

  • Frank Mason: Scores 14 in Wisconsin debut

Mason registered 14 points (6-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, four rebounds and a steal over 31 minutes for Wisconsin in a loss to Grand Rapids on Tuesday. Mason was traded from South Bay to Wisconsin on Feb. 24, and he made his debut with the Herd on Tuesday. The 27-year-old tied for the team lead in assists and put up a decent shooting line. Mason played less than 20 minutes in four of his final five games with South Bay, so the trade may represent an opportunity for more substantial playing time.

  • Frank Mason: Decent output off bench

Mason logged 11 points (3-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, one rebound and one block across 19 minutes during Thursday's 117-111 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors. Mason is one of multiple backups to backcourt starters Mac McClung and Chaundee Brown. But like he did Thursday, the backup occasionally logs good stat lines when given opportunities. Mason will try to continue creating some value from his limited playing time.

  • Frank Mason: Stuffs stat sheet Sunday

Mason finished with 20 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight assists and five rebounds across 41 minutes of action during Sunday's 119-112 win over the Herd. The Kansas product continued his impressive start to the G League season, as he's now averaging 14.8 points, 4.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. With all the COVID call-ups happening right now, it would not be surprising to see the well-traveled point guard back in the NBA at some point this year.

  • Frank Mason: Solid in loss

Mason finished with 21 points (8-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes of play during Thursday's 123-106 loss to Agua Caliente. The Kansas product's 21 points tied a team-high as he shot 75 percent from the field during the team's defeat. Mason is averaging 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game over his first six appearances with the team. The sharpshooting guard does have more than 100 career NBA games played under his belt, so it would not be surprising to see him get called up by the end of the season by a COVID-depleted roster.

  • Lakers' Frank Mason: Joins Lakers for camp

Mason agreed Wednesday with the Lakers on a training camp deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Mason played for the 76ers in the Las Vegas Summer League but will ultimately get a tryout for the Lakers as he looks to find his way on an NBA roster before the 2021-22 campaign. That said, it seems unlikely he makes the team, given the wealth of point guards Los Angeles has on hand.

The Blue Coats have reacquired Mason as an in-season affiliate player. Mason hasn't been activated yet since joining the Blue Coats but will be part of the roster moving forward and figures to be part of the mix in the near future. He should see a decent amount of run considering he's not far removed from a stint on an NBA roster.

Mason was officially waived by the Magic on Monday. The Magic are desperate for guard depth, and Mason's recent groin injury meant that he was unable to contribute. Mason appeared in three full games for Orlando, averaging 8.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 25.0 minutes.

Mason won't return to Thursday's game against the Warriors due to a strained right groin, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports. Mason's first start of the season lasted all of four minutes, as he wasn't even able to put up a shot attempt before exiting. Mason had 10 points (4-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists during Saturday's 118-92 loss to the Bulls. Chicago ran away from Orlando during the middle quarters Saturday, so Mason ended up leading the bench with 26 minutes. The 26-year-old could end up seeing extra run if Evan Fournier (back) misses any more time after sitting out against the Bulls.

  • Frank Mason: Waived by Philadelphia

Mason was waived by the 76ers on Saturday, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. Mason signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Sixers on Friday, but he was waived just one day later. The team likely wanted to acquire his G League rights, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the 2019-20 G League MVP have significant production at the developmental level once again this year.

  • Bucks' Frank Mason: Active for Game 1

Mason will be active for Monday's Game 1 against the Heat, Bucks radio voice Ted Davis reports. With Eric Bledsoe (hamstring) set to sit out, Mason will move up to active duty and could serve as the third point guard behind starter George Hill and Donte DiVincenzo. Mason has been among the best players in the G League this season, but he's played sparingly at the NBA level, appearing in just nine games for Milwaukee during the regular season. His last action came back on Aug. 13 during a seeding-game matchup against the Grizzlies.

  • Bucks' Frank Mason: Productive again in loss

Mason finished with 18 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight assists, four rebounds, a steal and a block in 26 minutes during Thursday's 119-106 loss to the Grizzlies. Mason just recorded a career-high 19 points against the Wizards on Tuesday, so he's closed out the regular season with a bang. The Bucks were once again without a number of their regulars, affording Mason additional playing time. He has the ability to put up numbers when given the opportunity, but Mason is typically restricted to a very minor role.
