Rabb finished with seven points (3-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, three steals, three blocks, and one assist in 26 minutes during Saturday's 109-104 preseason victory over Indiana. After playing just 12 minutes in his preseason debut, Rabb saw a much heftier workload in this one and certainly appeared to be rolling on all cylinders. He hauled in a dozen boards to go with a combined six defensive stats. Obviously, this kind of production was due in large part to the Grizzlies resting a number of players. If he should ever find his way into some consistent minutes, Rabb has an interesting fantasy game and would be worth a look.
Rabb (concussion) has been ruled out for Tuesday's preseason opener against the Rockets. Rabb was placed in the NBA's concussion protocol roughly a week ago and is still working through some lingering symptoms. Considering the uncertainty surrounding head injuries, there's been no definitive timetable placed on his return and he should be considered day-to-day following Monday's contest. Rabb's next opportunity to make his preseason debut will be Friday against the Hawks.
Rabb has been entered into the NBA's concussion protocol and is considered day-to-day heading into training camp, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports. Rabb reportedly took a shot to the head during voluntary workouts and was experiencing some concussion symptoms after it. As a result, he's been entered into the league's protocol and will need to progress through a series of tests before getting the green light for training camp. The Grizzlies open up their preseason schedule Oct. 2 against the Rockets and Rabb can tentatively be considered questionable for that contest.
Rabb totaled 17 points (8-12 FG, 1-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and a steal across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 94-80 summer league loss to the Kings. Rabb led the Grizzlies in both scoring and rebounding Tuesday. The second-year forward out of California appeared in 36 games for the team last season, averaging 5.6 points and 4.4 rebounds across 14.3 minutes. Despite some solid summer play, it will be difficult for Rabb to garner a bigger workload this season considering the frontcourt presence of Marc Gasol, JaMychal Green and Jaren Jackson.
Rabb recorded 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 137-123 loss to the Thunder. Rabb matched career highs in rebounding, assists, and minutes, making the most of his late-season opportunities. He wasn't a reliable part of the rotation for most of the campaign, but Rabb scored in double figures in four of the last five games and grabbed double-digit boards in three of the last six to end 2017-18.
