Rabb totaled 17 points (8-12 FG, 1-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and a steal across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 94-80 summer league loss to the Kings. Rabb led the Grizzlies in both scoring and rebounding Tuesday. The second-year forward out of California appeared in 36 games for the team last season, averaging 5.6 points and 4.4 rebounds across 14.3 minutes. Despite some solid summer play, it will be difficult for Rabb to garner a bigger workload this season considering the frontcourt presence of Marc Gasol, JaMychal Green and Jaren Jackson.
Rabb recorded 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 137-123 loss to the Thunder. Rabb matched career highs in rebounding, assists, and minutes, making the most of his late-season opportunities. He wasn't a reliable part of the rotation for most of the campaign, but Rabb scored in double figures in four of the last five games and grabbed double-digit boards in three of the last six to end 2017-18.
Rabb collected 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-5 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal across 31 minutes in Friday's 94-93 loss to the Kings. Rabb drew the start at power forward with both JaMychal Green (knee) and Jarell Martin (ankle) sidelined. The rookie parlayed the opportunity into his second straight double-digit scoring effort and second double-double of his career, as well. The 21-year-old has been particularly impressive on the boards over the last three contests (10.3 rebounds), and with Green and Martin potentially missing additional games, he could be set for extended minutes over the last three contests of the season.
Rabb will start at power forward for Friday's contest against the Kings. With a myriad of frontcourt injuries, the Grizzlies will start Rabb at power forward. In the nine games this season where he's seen at least 20 minutes, he's averaged 9.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 22.6 minutes.
Rabb recorded 16 points (6-13 FG, 4-4 FT) and seven rebounds in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 123-95 loss to the Pelicans. Rabb finished with career highs in scoring and minutes. Meanwhile, Marc Gasol went scoreless in 20 minutes and JaMychal Green was given the night off. It's obvious that the Grizzlies are prioritizing the development of their younger players down the stretch of this losing season, which certainly benefits Rabb.
