Ingram amassed 24 points (10-20 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one block over 37 minutes during Friday's 105-98 Play-In win over the Kings. Ingram was playing in only his third game since missing the final stretch of the regular season, and while he wasn't at his best, he stepped up when called upon duty in a game where New Orleans didn't have Zion Williamson (hamstring). Ingram's 24 points marked his highest scoring output since March 1, when he dropped 34 during a blowout win over Indiana.... See More ... See Less

Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Limited in loss Tuesday
Ingram chipped in 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 110-106 Play-In Game loss to the Lakers. Ingram was noticeably absent during the fourth quarter, an indication that he is still bothered by a knee injury that cost him the final three weeks of the regular season. New Orleans will now have to win Friday's game against the winner of the Sacramento and Golden State matchup, should they hope to advance to the postseason. While it is likely Ingram will get the starting nod, there is a chance he remains limited based on what we saw Tuesday.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Scores 13 points in return
Ingram (knee) closed with 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and five rebounds over 23 minutes during Sunday's 124-108 loss to the Lakers. Playing for the first time since March 21 in his return from a left knee bone contusion, Ingram took back his spot in the starting five from Trey Murphy but unsurprisingly had his minutes managed. Though he shot efficiently from the field in his return, Ingram was a team-worst minus-28 during his time on the court and handled a meager 20.3 percent usage rate, narrowly eking out Herbert Jones (20 percent) for the lowest among the Pelicans' five starters. The Pelicans were likely just happy to have one of their top players back in the fold before the end of the regular season, and assuming Ingram avoided any setbacks in his return, he should be ready to take on a bigger workload in the rematch with the Lakers on Tuesday in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament.... Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Available for regular-season finale
Ingram (knee) is available to play in Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Lakers, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports. Ingram has been sidelined with a bruised left knee since March 22 and missed 12 games as a result. The star forward is expected to have a slight minute restriction, but not a heavy one, according to Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Could play in season finale
Ingram (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers. Ingram has yet to return to the court since suffering a nagging knee injury in late March, but he was always considered an option to play in the final game of the regular season. His presence would provide a huge boost for the Pelicans on both ends of the court, but it's unclear how much of a workload he'd be able to handle -- if he's available at all.... See More ... Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Another absence coming
Ingram (knee) won't play in Friday's game versus the Warriors. Ingram will miss his 12th straight game Friday while dealing with a left knee contusion. His last chance to suit up before the end of the regular season is Sunday's matchup with the Lakers.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Still sidelined
Ingram (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Kings. Although Ingram appears to be nearing a return and has been ramping up his practice participation, he won't be able to suit up for Thursday's contest. He'll have two more opportunities to take the hardwood before the playoffs: Friday at Golden State and Sunday against the Lakers.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Out at least two more games
The Pelicans announced Saturday that Ingram (knee) will miss at least two more games. Though he'll remain out for games Sunday in Phoenix and Tuesday in Portland, Ingram will take a step forward in his recovery from a contusion to his left knee, which he hyperextended March 21. He was cleared Saturday to begin individual on-court workouts and will gradually increase the intensity of those sessions as he progresses. If he's able to practice Monday or Wednesday, he may be an option to play in either game of the Pelicans' Thursday/Friday back-to-back set versus the Kings and Warriors, respectively.... See More ... Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Could return late next week
Ingram is scheduled to be re-evaluated later this week, and the Pelicans are hopeful that he'll be able to return to action at around the three-week mark of his recovery from the left knee injury he suffered March 21, Shams Charania reported Tuesday on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back" program. Charania's report comes after Pelicans head coach Willie Green noted Monday that Ingram was able to run on a treadmill and continues to increase his activities daily as he works his way back from a left knee bone contusion, according to Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans. Ingram is expected to get his knee re-examined Thursday or Friday -- two weeks after he suffered the injury -- and if doctors are satisfied with how he's healed thus far, the 26-year-old could start to increase the intensity of his workouts. If the report of the three-week mark being the target for his return proves to be accurate, Ingram could be back in action as soon as April 11 in Sacramento, though the Pelicans would probably prefer to save him for the second leg of the back-to-back set (April 12 at Golden State). If Ingram plays one half of that back-to-back set, he would then be able to get one more game under his belt in the April 14 regular-season finale versus the Lakers before the Pelicans take part in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament or a first-round playoff matchup.... Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Could be back before season's end
Pelicans head coach Willie Green said that Ingram (knee) ran on the treadmill Monday and continues to ramp up daily, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports. Ingram hasn't played since March 21 due to a left knee bone contusion and will miss his sixth straight game Monday versus Phoenix. He was able to resume light on-court work Friday, and his ability to run on the treadmill marks another small step forward as he works toward a return. Green said that the Pelicans remain optimistic that Ingram will return before the end of the regular season, but a precise timeline likely won't come into focus until the veteran wing is able to take full-contact practice.... Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Gets on-court work in Friday
Coach Willie Green said Ingram (knee) was able to do some on-court work during Friday's practice, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports. Ingram is one week removed from being diagnosed with a bone contusion in his left knee. He was expected to miss at least two weeks but appears to be handling rehab well. Trey Murphy has moved into the starting lineup in Ingram's absence, but Naji Marshall also figures to get an uptick in playing time until the star forward can return. Despite the positive update, Ingram will remain out for Saturday's game against Boston.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Won't return Thursday
Ingram won't return to Thursday's game against the Magic due to a left knee injury, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. He finished with 14 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 21 minutes. The Pelicans haven't provided many details about the injury, but given that he appeared to be in visible pain upon checking out of the game with 9:52 remaining in the third quarter and wasn't able to return, his status would appear to be in doubt for Friday's game in Miami. If Ingram is forced to miss any time, Trey Murphy, Naji Marshall, Jose Alvarado and Jordan Hawkins could all absorb his minutes to some degree.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Injures left knee Thursday
Ingram exited Thursday's game against Orlando in the third quarter with an apparent left knee injury, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Ingram was in visible pain upon checking out of the game with 9:52 remaining in the third quarter. He was able to put a bit of weight on his leg, but he needed assistance to get back to the locker room. The Pelicans will likely provide an official update on Ingram's status before the game concludes.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Pops for 20 against Cavs
Ingram posted 20 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 116-95 loss to the Cavaliers. The Pelicans' offense was a two-man show Wednesday, as Ingram and Zion Williamson (33 points) were the only two New Orleans players to score more than 11. Ingram had averaged just 12.0 points over the prior three contests, and he may not be completely over the ankle injury that cost him the first two games coming out of the All-Star break -- he hasn't attempted more than two three-pointers in five straight games. Despite that reduction in long-range attempts, since his return Ingram is averaging 20.8 points, 5.9 assists, 5.6 boards, 1.1 threes and 0.8 steals.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Posts well-rounded stat line Friday
Ingram closed Friday's 103-95 win over the 76ers with 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 35 minutes. Ingram finished third on the Pelicans in scoring and rebounds while leading the squad in assists and adding a pair of swats. He needed only 10 field-goal tries to reach 17 points, and he's been a bit passive in averaging just 8.5 shot attempts over his past two games. Prior to that span, he had put together a four-game run during which he averaged 27.5 points on 18.8 field-goal tries per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Does it all in blowout victory
Ingram ended Friday's 129-102 win over the Pacers with 34 points (13-21 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-9 FT), eight rebounds and six assists over 30 minutes. Ingram led all players in Friday's contest in scoring while ending two rebounds shy of a double-double to go along with a half-dozen rebounds in an all-around showcase. Ingram has surpassed the 30-point mark in 10 games this season, including in two straight outings. He has posted at least 30 points, five rebounds and five assists on four occasions.... See More ... Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Hits for 30 in Indiana
Ingram totaled a game-high 30 points (8-20 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 13-13 FT), six rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 123-114 loss to the Pacers. The 26-year-old wing led all scorers on the night despite coming into the game nursing a minor ankle injury, as Ingram reached 30 points for the first time since he poured in 41 against the Raptors on Feb. 5. Since missing a couple games last week with an illness, Ingram has averaged 25.3 points, 5.0 boards, 5.0 assists, 2.0 threes, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks over the last three contests.... See More ... Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Set to play against Indiana
Ingram (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game versus the Pacers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Ingram has been upgraded from questionable to available Wednesday despite suffering an ankle injury against the Knicks. The star player is averaging 19.4 points, 6.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks in 36.0 minutes across his last five appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Listed questionable for Wednesday
Ingram (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers. Ingram left Tuesday's win over the Knicks in the first quarter and limped to the locker room, but he quickly returned to the Pelicans' bench and finished with 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals in 34 minutes. CJ McCollum (ankle) and Zion Williamson (foot) are also questionable, so New Orleans could be down three starters versus Indiana.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Returns to game
Ingram (ankle) checked back into Tuesday's game versus the Knicks at the start of the second quarter, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Ingram had an injury scare in the first quarter that sent him limping to the locker room, but he was in the back for only a few minutes before returning.... See More ... See Less
