Quickley (groin) will be available for Monday's Summer League game against the Hawks, Ian Begley of SNY reports. A sore groin kept Quickley out of Saturday's game against the Cavs, but it doesn't look to be anything serious, so the team will allow the second-year guard to suit up for the final Summer League contest. Coming off of a strong rookie season, Quickley has unsurprisingly shone well in Las Vegas, averaging 21.8 points, 8.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals through four appearances.
Quickley is out for Saturday's Summer League contest against the Cavaliers due to a sore groin. Quickley's last chance to play is Monday against the Hawks. In his four Summer League appearances, he's averaged 21.8 points, 8.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 34.5 minutes.
Quickley, along with Miles Bridges and P.J. Washington, is out of Team USA training camp due to COVID-19 protocols following Thursday's practice, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reports. Quickley was invited to be on the USA Select Team, but he'll now presumably need to quarantine for possibly up to two weeks. That said, it's not clear if he returned a positive test or if it's a contact tracing situation.
Quickley managed just two points (1-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and one rebound in 14 minutes during Sunday's 96-92 victory over Boston. Quickley was barely noticeable in the win, ending the regular season on a low note. The rookie has flashed moments of brilliance throughout the campaign but has been far too inconsistent to even sniff standard league value. It appears he will continue to be used sparingly moving forward, as the Knicks look to make the most of their upcoming playoff appearance.
Quickley recorded zero points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and one turnover across 11 minutes in Thursday's 102-98 win over the Spurs. In his return from a three-game absence, Quickley didn't do much of anything in a limited appearance off the bench. It's the first time the rookie has failed to score since March 31 and the fourth time he's gone scoreless all season.
