Edwards will come off the bench for Tuesday's play-in game against the Cavaliers, Serena Winters of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. With Seth Curry (ankle) available, Edwards will move back to the bench. As a reserve, he's averaged 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 14.1 minutes.

Edwards is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pacers, Nick Friedell of ESPN reports. With Seth Curry (ankle) ruled out, Edwards will step in and get the start at shooting guard over veteran Patty Mills. Edwards, who was recently converted from a two-way deal to a full NBA contract, has averaged 6.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 threes per game across 22 previous starts this season.

The Nets will convert Edwards to a standard NBA contract in advance of the postseason, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Edwards has been playing on a two-way deal, meaning he would not be eligible to play in the postseason. In order to keep him available for the play-in tournament, and beyond, the Nets will move him to a full NBA deal and part ways with James Johnson in order to clear a roster spot. Edwards, a rookie out of Pepperdine, has appeared in 46 games this season, averaging 5.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 threes in 20.1 minutes per contest.

Edwards notched five points (2-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 118-105 victory over Houston. With Bruce Brown back in action following a one-game absence due to an illness, Edwards reverted to his usual reserve role, but the rookie actually played five more minutes Tuesday than he did during Saturday's start. The 21-year-old forward struggled offensively, but he grabbed seven rebounds -- his most since Dec. 14 -- and finished with at least one steal and one block in the same game for the seventh time this season.

Edwards will move back to the bench for Tuesday's game against Houston. With Bruce Brown back in action, Edwards will move back to the bench after starting Saturday's loss to the Hawks. Edwards is unlikely to see enough run to be worth targeting in DFS contests.
