Mika scored 18 points (6-13 FG, 4-5 FT) and hauled in 15 rebounds in Thursday's victory over Delaware. That makes six straight double-doubles for Mika, who is averaging a hefty 20.0 points and 14.1 rebounds per contest. He is also shooting 57.5 percent from the field and staking his claim as one of the most imposing big men in the G League.
Mika scored 19 points (8-13 FG, 2-2 FT) and grabbed 11 rebounds in Wednesday's victory over Raptors 905. The double-doubles just keep coming for Mika, who has now achieved the feat in 13 of his 15 contests this season. Incredibly, Wednesday's effort could be considered a below-average performance for the undrafted rookie, as both his scoring and rebounding were below his season averages of 20.1 points and 14.1 boards per contest.
Mika scored 26 points (11-16 FG, 2-2 FT) and pulled down 14 rebounds in a loss to Iowa on Monday. Though he played well in his lone NBA contest with Sacramento, Mika was waived by the Kings on Thursday. He returned to the G League and wasted little time picking up where he left off, notching his fourth consecutive double-double. With per-game averages of 20.2 points and 14.4 rebounds and an excellent 58.0 field-goal percentage, it stands to reason that the 25-year-old will get another shot to prove his worth in the NBA at some point.
Mika was waived by the Kings on Thursday, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. The Kings needed to free up a roster spot for the likes of Jabari Parker (shoulder) and Alex Len (hip), and Mika -- who was on a 10-day contract -- was the corresponding roster casualty. In his lone appearance with the Kings, Mika posted six points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes.
Mika signed a 10-day contract with the Kings on Saturday. Mika has been spending time in the G League with the Stockton Kings, where he's averaged 19.8 points, 14.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.5 minutes. It's possible he sees some NBA action over the next week or so.
