  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Officially out

Garland (back) will not play in Sunday's game against the Hornets, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports. No surprise here, as Garland was deemed doubtful heading into Sunday. He will now set his sights on getting his health back up to par before Cleveland's playoff bid tips off. In his absence, Craig Porter will start at point guard.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Doubtful for Sunday

Garland is doubtful for Sunday's game against Charlotte with a lower back contusion. With the playoffs looming, it appears the Cavaliers will give Garland the night off. Additionally, the Cavaliers have already ruled out Donovan Mitchell (knee) for this contest.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Quiet in victory Friday

Garland amassed 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt), two rebounds and four assists across 29 minutes during Friday's 129-120 win over the Pacers. Garland was noticeably passive in the win, attempting just 11 field goals en route to 16 points. Although he has been able to increase his production over the past two weeks, the same cannot be said for the season as a whole. Given how disappointing he has been, there is a good chance he is available at a nice discount next season, especially if he can take on a larger responsibility on the offensive end.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Scores 26 points in loss

Garland recorded 26 points (11-25 FG, 4-9 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and five steals over 35 minutes during Saturday's 116-97 loss to the Lakers. Garland snapped an eight-game streak without reaching the 20-point mark, but his efforts were not enough to lift the Cavaliers to victory against a Lakers team firing on all cylinders on offense. Garland has reached the 20-point mark only 18 times this season, a drastic drop compared to a 2022-23 campaign in which he achieved this feat 39 times.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Will play Friday

Garland (ankle) is available and starting in Friday's game against the 76ers. Garland was deemed probable for Friday's matchup, so it isn't very surprising to see him available. He's posted double-doubles in his last two appearances and has averaged 15.4 points, 7.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 33.6 minutes per game over his last five outings.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Likely to play against Philadelphia

Garland is listed as probable for Friday's game versus the 76ers due to a right ankle sprain. Garland hasn't missed a game since Jan. 27 and isn't expected to do so Friday despite dealing with a right ankle sprain. With Donovan Mitchell (nose) questionable, the Cavaliers could start their optimal backcourt against Philadelphia.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Season-high 12 dimes vs. Charlotte

Garland notched 14 points (5-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, 12 assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 118-111 loss to the Hornets. Although Garland struggled with his shot Wednesday, he managed to dish out a season-high 12 assists, six of which were to Jarrett Allen. Garland has ran the Cavaliers' offense with Donovan Mitchell (nose) sidelined, but that has come at the expense of his shot, as the former is shooting 37.7 percent from the field (including 24.5 percent from three on 7.6 3PA/G) over his last seven games. Mitchell could return Friday vs. the 76ers, which should give Garland more open looks on offense.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Poor effort Sunday

Garland finished Sunday's 121-84 loss to the Heat with nine points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes. The Cavaliers have been struggling badly on offense without Donovan Mitchell (nose), but Sunday's performance was a new low for them, as they failed to reach the 90-point plateau in a game where most of the starters logged limited minuted. Such was the case with Garland, as the coaching staff probably decided to rest him in a game that looked like a blowout early on. Garland should be in line to handle his regular workload against the Hornets on Monday.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Struggles from field Friday

Garland had 19 points (8-21 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes during Friday's 104-91 loss to the Timberwolves. Garland had a rough shooting performance Friday and ended with more field-goal attempts than points scored, as the Cavaliers once again struggled on offense without Donovan Mitchell (nose). Garland has been doing what he can to provide a lift on offense, but the fact that he has scored under 20 points in three of his last four outings isn't exactly helpful. Garland will aim to bounce back in a tough matchup against the Heat on Sunday.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Cools off against Rockets

Garland posted 12 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday's 117-103 loss to the Rockets. Garland has been playing some of his best basketball lately but struggled against the Rockets on Saturday. He missed five of his six three-point attempts and his streak of five assists or more in a game ended at seven. Over his last five games, Garland has averaged 23.4 points on 51.9 percent shooting (including 45.2 percent from three on 8.4 attempts), 3.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.0 steals over 34.8 minutes per game.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Big double-double against Pels

Garland racked up a team-high 27 points (10-16 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 116-95 win over the Pelicans. Donovan Mitchell returned from a seven-game absence Wednesday, but it was Garland who still carried the offensive load in the Cavs' backcourt. It was the third double-double of the season for Garland, all three of which have come since the All-Star break. Over 13 games during that stretch, the fifth-year guard is averaging 20.8 points, 7.2 assists, 4.1 threes, 2.8 boards and 1.2 steals while shooting 46.5 percent from beyond the arc, but once Mitchell gets back up to speed, Garland's usage will tick back down.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Not on injury report

Garland (ankle) is good to go for Wednesday's game against New Orleans. Garland carries no injury designation in advance of Wednesday's game. He rolled his ankle in Monday's loss to Phoenix but returned to the contest after limping off the court for a brief spell. The 24-year-old should be at full strength for Wednesday's contest.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Plays through ankle tweak in loss

Garland registered 30 points (10-17 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five assists, two rebounds and one steal across 36 minutes in Monday's 117-111 loss to Phoenix. He appeared to tweak his right ankle late in the third quarter when he stepped on a defender's foot, but he was able to return, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. With Donovan Mitchell (knee) once again sidelined, Garland stepped up in his backcourt mate's stead, hitting the 30-point mark for the second time in three games. He did most of his damage in the first quarter, pouring in 21 points while drilling seven triples. The ankle injury may have resulted in an underwhelming finish to the night, but Garland's ability to play through the issue suggests that he'll likely be on track to play Wednesday versus the Pelicans. Garland's fantasy managers will still want to confirm prior to Wednesday's 8 p.m. ET tipoff that the point guard is in the starting lineup.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Not listed on injury report

Garland (wrist) isn't listed on the Cavaliers' injury report ahead of Monday's matchup versus the Suns. Garland was spotted icing his left wrist in the locker room following Sunday's loss to the Nets, but the point guard should be good to go for the second half of Clevleand's back-to-back set. Garland will likely continue to see elevated usage versus Phoenix, as Donovan Mitchell (knee), Max Strus (knee) and Dean Wade (personal) all remain out.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Tending to sore wrist

Garland was seen icing his left wrist in the locker room after Sunday's 120-101 loss to the Nets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Fedor notes that Garland isn't sure how he may have injured the wrist, but the point guard's status is certainly something to keep an eye on as the Cavaliers head into the second leg of a back-to-back set Monday against Phoenix. Garland was relatively quiet in Sunday's loss, finishing with 14 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five assists, one rebound and one steal in 27 minutes.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Poor shooting display Wednesday

Garland registered 15 points (5-14 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound and seven assists over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 112-101 loss to the Hawks. Garland didn't have his best shooting performance and was particularly woeful from three-point range. However, he still posted a decent performance while ending three dimes away from a double-double. Garland is expected to embrace a more significant role on offense while Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Evan Mobley (ankle) are sidelined. He's averaging 20.4 points and 6.4 assists per game across his last five appearances.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Delivers double-double Tuesday

Garland ended Tuesday's 105-104 win over the Celtics with 16 points (6-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, 11 assists and two steals over 36 minutes. With Donovan Mitchell (knee) missing his third straight game, Garland stepped up with his second double-double of the campaign while setting a new season high in assists. Both those double-doubles have come since the All-Star break, and in eight games since that pause in the schedule, the fifth-year guard is averaging 18.8 points, 7.3 assists, 4.0 threes, 2.8 boards and 1.4 steals while shooting 47.8 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Solid output against New York

Garland notched 19 points (7-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and two steals over 40 minutes during Sunday's 107-98 loss to New York. Garland was efficient from the field and delivered a solid all-around stat line in the loss to the Knicks, as he was tasked with handling the playmaking duties entirely on his own, as Donovan Mitchell (knee) was sidelined. Garland is having another strong season, and the injury issues that plagued him midway through the campaign are in the rearview now. The speedy floor general is averaging 15.3 points, 6.5 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game since the beginning of February.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Scores 29 points against Detroit

Garland supplied 29 points (9-21 FG, 8-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Friday's 110-100 win over the Pistons. Garland was excellent from beyond the arc and drained a season-high eight threes en route to carrying the Cavaliers to victory against the Pistons. Garland has now scored 20 or more points in back-to-back games, and he benefited from Donovan Mitchell's absence due to a knee injury to handle a more prominent role on offense. Garland will try to keep this momentum going when facing the Knicks on Sunday.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Goes for 23 points in OT loss

Garland chipped in 23 points (8-22 FG, 7-14 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and one steal in 44 minutes during Wednesday's 132-123 double-overtime loss to the Bulls. Garland struggled shooting inside the three-point arc, making just one two-pointer, but fantasy managers can't be too upset with seven made triples. Garland remains a consistent scoring weapon for the Cavaliers, scoring 15.7 points per game and adding 7.3 assists per contest over his last 10 appearances.
