  • Juwan Morgan: Cut by LA

The Clippers waived Morgan on Oct. 4, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. Morgan signed an Exhibit 10 deal Sept. 23, so the Clippers will retain his G League rights after he cleared waivers. The 6-foot-7 forward appeared in two NBA games in 2021-22, one apiece with the Celtics and Raptors.

  • Juwan Morgan: Waived by Pacers

Morgan was cut loose by the Pacers on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Morgan was one of three players the Pacers received as part of the Malcolm Brogdon trade that is now being waived. The moves allow the team to create the necessary cap space to sign Deandre Ayton should the Suns not match the Pacers' four-year, $133 million max offer.

  • Pacers' Juwan Morgan: Headed to Indiana

Morgan was traded from the Celtics to the Pacers on Friday along with four other players and a 2023 first-round pick in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Morgan saw mostly garbage-time minutes with the Celtics during the 2021-22 season, as the 24-year-old was not a factor in head coach Ime Udoka's playoff rotation en route to Boston's appearance in the 2022 NBA Finals. Morgan should have a better chance to earn more minutes with his new team, but it's unlikely he receives a significant workload, even if he manages to crack the rotation.

  • Celtics' Juwan Morgan: Inks multi-year deal with Boston

Morgan (COVID-19 protocols) agreed Sunday with the Celtics on a multi-year contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Morgan isn't included on the Celtics' latest injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, but that may be because his 10-day contract expired Thursday. He'll be formally added back to the roster once he puts pen to paper on his multi-year deal, but it's not clear if he'll be available Sunday since he missed Boston's previous two games while he was in the COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Morgan should be ready to go for the start of the postseason, but he's unlikely to be included in head coach Ime Udoka's rotation.

  • Celtics' Juwan Morgan: In protocols

Morgan won't be available for Wednesday's game against the Bulls after he was placed in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Just over a week after inking a 10-day deal with Boston, Morgan's time with the team looks as though it could come to an unceremonious end while he's in the protocols. He's unlikely to gain clearance before the Celtics play the Bucks on Thursday in the second leg of a back-to-back set, and his contract will expire prior to the team's regular-season finale this weekend in Memphis. Since signing with the team last week, Morgan made one three-minute appearance, which came in Sunday's 42-point win over the Wizards.

  • Juwan Morgan: Bad shooting during rare start

Morgan logged eight points (3-10 FG, 2-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 128-92 loss to the Raptors 905. • Juwan Morgan: Records double-double

  • Raptors' Juwan Morgan: Signs 10-day contract

Morgan signed a 10-day hardship contract with the Raptors on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Morgan was averaging 12.6 points and 7.0 rebounds across 13 G League games with the Maine Celtics this season. The Indiana product appeared in 50 NBA contests for the Jazz over the past two campaigns, so he should bring some experience to a young team that is currently without Pascal Siakam and Dalano Banton due to COVID-19 protocols.

  • Juwan Morgan: Starts, but struggles in loss

Morgan eked out seven points (3-8 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block over 37 minutes in Thursday's 97-95 overtime loss to Long Island. Morgan led the Maine Celtics in minutes played, but he still produced a modest stat line. That said, he tied with Sam Hauser for top rebounds as both teams shot poorly. At 6-foot-7, Morgan is a bit small for the power forward role Maine has assigned him to. He'll look to improve Friday night in the second of a back-to-back versus Long Island.

The forward is shooting an impressive 58.9 percent from the field through seven games to start the season.
