2020 Fantasy Football Dynasty Rankings, PPR: Proven expert says draft Melvin Gordon, fade Kirk Cousins

Now that the NFL Draft is complete and the schedule has been released, owners have plenty of choices to ponder before determining their 2020 Fantasy football dynasty rankings. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Packers fans were stunned when the organization traded up to take Jordan Love in the first round. The pick mirrored how Rodgers entered the NFL 15 years ago, when he was selected in the first round while future Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre was still in fine form.

Rodgers has been one of the top Fantasy football dynasty picks for several years, but predicting how a player will adapt to having his presumptive replacement on the sideline could be tricky. Before you make any decisions, you'll want to see what SportsLine's Scott Engel has to say.

Engel is an inaugural member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association's Hall of Fame and has been a premier analyst and Fantasy personality for nearly 25 years. He is a four-time FSWA Award Winner and nine-time nominee.

In addition to being the Fantasy writer for the official site of the Seattle Seahawks since 2012, Engel has appeared on ESPN.com, NFL.com, Yahoo Sports, the New York Post, USA Today, SI.com and many other major sports news outlets. Engel also pulled off a three-peat in his highly-competitive New York City Fantasy football league in 2019 that features high-stakes players and top Fantasy experts.

Now, Engel has released his 2020 Fantasy football dynasty rankings and revealed his top sleepers, breakouts and busts so you'll have an edge in your Fantasy football dynasty league for years to come.

Top 2020 Fantasy football Dynasty picks

One player Engel is extremely high on in his Fantasy football dynasty rankings 2020: Broncos running back Melvin Gordon. After three years with the Chargers, Gordon moved to the division-rival Broncos via a two-year, $16 million contract with $13.5 million guaranteed.

Gordon played 12 games in 2019 following a four-game holdout, carrying the ball 162 times for 612 yards and scoring eight touchdowns. The Broncos now possess a formidable 1-2 RB punch, as Phillip Lindsay led the Broncos in carries (224), yards rushing (1,011) and rushing touchdowns (seven) last season. Signing Gordon will certainly help Denver offensively, as the Broncos finished 2019 ranked 28th or worse in total offense, scoring, passing offense and red-zone performance.

"I like Gordon a lot to have a bounce-back year because he will return to being a featured back in a good situation," Engel told SportsLine. "Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur prefers to lean on one running back, and Gordon will be his primary choice."

And a massive shocker: Engel says Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, who just inked a two-year, $66 million contract extension, barely cracks the top 25 at his position.

The nine-year veteran failed to surpass the 4,000-yard passing threshold for the first time as a starter, as he threw for 3,603 yards on 307 completions and 444 attempts. And while Minnesota took wide receiver Justin Jefferson with the 22nd overall pick in an effort to replace Stefon Diggs, the Vikings still figure to focus their offense around running back Dalvin Cook.

Cousins has plenty of miles on him at age 31, and even though he inked a two-year, $66 million contract extension during the offseason, Minnesota will likely be just as conservative this season under new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak.
