The 49ers promoted Jordan from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday.
Jordan's promotion to the active roster coincides with the placement of both Nick Bosa (knee) and Solomon Thomas (knee) on injured reserve. The veteran will provide the 49ers with much-needed depth at defensive end, and he could play an immediate rotational role against the Giants on Sunday.
