Greenlaw (ankle) was a limited participant at the 49ers' practice Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Greenlaw missed the team's first practice of the week Wednesday, but his return to the field Thursday bodes well for his chances to play Sunday versus the Cardinals. The linebacker will have one more opportunity to increase his workload Friday ahead of Week 4.
