Redmond (knee) was placed on IR on Monday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Redmond appeared in one preseason game, recording five tackles last Thursday against the Chargers. The 49ers were able to re-sign running back DuJuan Harris with Redmond's IR designation. Redmond tore his ACL in 2015 before being drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, so he'll now have additional time to get back to full health.
