The Bears extended a contract tender to Coward on Thursday, Patrick Finley of The Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Coward converted from defensive line to right tackle last season, and impressed the Bears enough with his progress to remain with the team through 2019. He'll provide Chicago with offensive line depth going forward.
