Coach Matt Eberflus said earlier this week that Smith was going to play, but he did not suit up for Chicago's preseason finale. Eddie Jackson, Jaylon Johnson and Robert Quinn aren't playing either, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports, which means Smith is probably just sitting out for rest.
