Bills' Sammy Watkins: Increase in snaps expected Sunday

Watkins is expected to increase his workload to 35-to-40 plays Sunday at Oakland, according to Chris Brown of the Bills' official site.

Despite logging less than half of the offensive snaps in his return Sunday versus the Jaguars -- 25 of 55, to be precise -- Watkins still gathered in each of his three targets for 80 yards. During media availability Monday, head coach Rex Ryan relayed that Watkins checked out fine, making his upcoming uptick in workload warranted. However, Watkins will likely only experience incremental changes to his snap count in order to finish out the season free of injury.
