Browns' Christian Kirksey: Expects to play outside linebacker

Kirksey is expected to move from inside to outside linebacker in 2017, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Kirksey was prolific as a middle linebacker in 2016, recording a career-high 148 tackles. With the Browns switching from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 setup in 2017, Kirksey will have to adjust to a different spot on the field, but he'll still be tasked with helping snuff out the run game. The shift shouldn't prove too difficult for the fourth-year linebacker, but it could result in him seeing a slight dip in tackles from a season earlier.
