Browns' Rashard Higgins: More action Week 2
Share Video
Higgins caught both of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over Houston.
Higgins was barely an afterthought Week 1 when he played just four snaps, but an early knee injury removed Jarvis Landry from the equation Week 2 and paved the way for Higgins to play 43 snaps (70 percent). Landry is expected to miss multiple games, and if Odell Beckham (knee) is not ready for Week 3 against the Bears, Higgins should see a big workload again. His main competition for playing time did not fare so well Sunday. Second-year wideout Donovan Peoples-Jones fumbled away his lone touch, and rookie Anthony Schwartz stopped short on a route that resulted in an interception, an injury to quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) and Houston's second touchdown. Those were Cleveland's only two turnovers on the day.
