Hicks had six tackles and one pass defense during Sunday's 34-33 victory against the Vikings.
Hicks has been modestly productive through two games with 10 tackles. More importantly, though, he's been the leading inside linebacker for the Cardinals, even with recent first-round picks Isaiah Simmons (2020) and Zaven Collins (2021) in his position group. The selection of the latter led Hicks to request a trade in the offseason, but the situation has been settled, at least for now, with the seventh-year pro garnering 96 percent (120 of 125) of the team's defensive snaps to date. Because his usage remains similar to the past two seasons in Arizona, he should begin to approach the 8.4 tackles per game he averaged during that stretch.
