Gilman (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire reports, and he tested positive for the virus according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Gilman returned in Week 16 against the Texans after a multiweek absence due to a hamstring injury. He now enters COVID protocols with fellow safeties Nasir Adderley and Trey Marshall, while Derwin James deals with a hamstring injury. The Chargers secondary could be dangerously low on talent Sunday when they host the Broncos.
