Woodhead (knee) has been extended a contract offer, his agent Chris Gittings of OneWest Sports confirmed to Michael Gehlken on Thursday.

It makes sense that the Chargers would be aggressive in bringing back Woodhead, as the diminutive running back has been a staple of the offense when healthy. It's the "when healthy" that has given some pause for concern, as Woodhead has missed 27 games in four years with the Chargers, including 14 last year after tearing his ACL. Given his age and injury history, it doesn't seem likely the Chargers will bring Woodhead back on a long-term contract, but that shouldn't dissuade fantasy owners from drafting the 33-year-old next season, especially in PPR leagues.
