Though Williams (back) remains out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, the rookie wideout practiced in a limited fashion Friday.

In his first practice since May, Williams participated in individual drills, per Ricky Henne of the Chargers' official site. Meanwhile, coach Anthony Lynn relayed that Williams is on schedule in his recovery. Previous estimates suggested the No. 7 overall pick in the NFL Draft might make his season debut in October. Returning to practice is a positive step in that direction, though given that the Chargers already have Keenan Allen, Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin, it seems likely the rookie out of Clemson will be eased into the mix initially.
