Niang (kneecap) was placed on the Chiefs' reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Niang has not participated this preseason while recovering from a torn patella tendon suffered in January. Chiefs general manager Bree Veach said in April that the presumptive starting right tackle was on track to return by the end of training camp, but he will now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the 2022 regular season while on this reserve list.
