Watkins (calf) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.

Watkins said Tuesday that's he "very optimistic" about his chances of playing in the Super Bowl, which would be his first appearance since Week 16. A full practice Friday would be a nice sign, but it seems he's tentatively on track to play even if he closes out the week as a limited participant. Meanwhile, fellow wideout Demarcus Robinson (reserve/COVID-19) is expected to rejoin the team Friday.
