Chiefs' Trey Smith: Dealing with calf injury

Coach Andy Reid said Monday that Smith suffered a left calf injury during the Chiefs' 20-14 loss to the Raiders, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.

Smith wasn't able to return Monday, but he sustained the injury late during Kansas City's loss. In the event that Smith needs to miss any time in his recovery, Nick Allegretti will be the favorite to start at right guard versus Cincinnati in Week 17.
