Smith was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
Smith either contracted the virus or came into close contact with someone who did. In turn, the starting right tackle won't be available for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Left tackle Anthony Castonzo (knee/ankle) is questionable for Week 16. Chaz Green and Will Holden are the next men up at the tackle position.
