The Colts activated Wentz (foot) from the reserve/COVID list Thursday morning, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.

Wentz, WR Zach Pascal and C Ryan Kelly have been removed from the list in time for Thursday's practice. Wentz had been scheduled for a full practice Monday before he was deemed a close contact of a team employee who tested positive for COVID-19. The quarterback thus seems likely to be a full practice participant Thursday, with the Colts preparing to start him Sept. 12 against Seattle -- six weeks removed from foot surgery. Jacob Eason is the backup plan if Wentz can't go, while Sam Ehlinger is likely out until October with a knee sprain.
