Cowboys' Ryan Switzer: In line to play Thursday
Switzer (hamstring) is expected to play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Texans, Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Switzer suffered a hamstring injury during the first week of training camp but seems to be closing in on his professional debut. Backing up the assessment, he took part in 11-on-11 drills near the end of Monday's practice, according to David Helman of the Cowboys' official site, which is generally an indication that a player is implementing an upcoming game plan. In the end, though, the Cowboys may exercise caution Thursday with the health of one of their likely regular-season returners in mind.
