Foster (groin) won't be rushed back into action ahead of the Dolphins' Week 4 game against the Bengals on Thursday night, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Foster missed Sunday's win over the Browns due to a groin issue, which will probably keep him sidelined again with a short turnaround before Thursday's game. While Foster's status has yet to be confirmed, the Dolphins rightfully want to protect him from further damage and could use the extended layoff following Thursday's game to improve his condition. Should Foster indeed miss Week 4, Jay Ajayi and Kenyan Drake will likely continue to split the bulk of Miami's carries, with Isaiah Pead and Damien Williams serving as lesser-used backfield alternatives.
