Hurst recorded four receptions on five targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Jets.
Hurst saw an increased role as the Falcons relied on multiple tight ends in the absence of Calvin Ridley (personal) and Russell Gage (ankle). He delivered a 17-yard touchdown reception to put the Falcons up 17-0 early in the second quarter. Hurst also offset some of that good by fumbling twice, one of which was lost to the Jets. Moving forward, Hurst may have a difficult time replicating this performance as the team heads into their bye, which will provide both Ridley and Gage an extra week to return.
