Ryan completed 19 of 28 passes for 153 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Falcons' 25-0 loss to the Patriots on Thursday night. He was replaced by Josh Rosen with 1:40 remaining in the game.
Ryan scuffled badly through the air for the second time in five days, with the fact he was missing key contributor Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) adding to the misery of an offense already without Calvin Ridley (personal). The veteran quarterback spread the ball around to seven different pass catchers as a result, but he was held to just 5.5 yards per attempt and sacked four times overall. Ryan got up limping after one of those takedowns and had his right foot examined, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, but he remained in the contest and was removed late simply due to the score being out of reach. With some much-needed extra down time on tap, Ryan will aim for a resurgence in a Week 12 road matchup against the Jaguars a week from Sunday.
