Watch Now: Breaking Down The Timetable For Tua Tagovailoa's NFL Debut (3:12)

As you probably already know, the 2020 NFL rookie class is one of the deepest we've seen in the Fantasy Football era. My most recently updated Dynasty Top 150 featured 11 rookie running backs and 11 rookie wide receivers ... but just two rookie quarterbacks. That's a sign of both the extreme depth of the class and the lack of importance given to quarterbacks in Fantasy Football in this era. Joe Burrow could be a generational prospect, but he's not in my top 12 rookies in a standard format.

If you think that's a problem, Superflex is the answer. Our most recent Superflex mock draft saw three quarterbacks selected in the first eight picks. Five more were taken in Rounds 2-5. While it was great to see the most important position in football get a little more Fantasy love, it had another effect. The skill position talent was deeper than ever.

The best way to highlight that depth is by looking at some of my favorite picks.

  • D'Andre Swift fell all the way to No. 10 to R.J. White. Swift is my fourth favorite player in this class and has a chance to be the best rookie running back.
  • Henry Ruggs fell to Adam Aizer at 12th overall. Ruggs is not just the fastest receiver in this class, he was also the first receiver taken in the draft. He may also have the simplest path to 120 targets.
  • Ke'Shawn Vaughn fell to Kyle Yates as the fourth pick of Round 2. Even in Superflex, I have Vaughn ranked 11th in this class. Like Swift, Vaughn could very well be the top rookie in 2020.

These are just a few of my favorite picks, but the highlight a very important message: It's OK to trade down in Superflex this year, especially if you don't need a quarterback. Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa are all but guaranteed to go in the first four picks in this format, which means you can get a top five talent in the late first round.
