It's Week 8, and Fantasy football rankings can help you answer several burning questions. Packers wide receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison are both expected to return this week after being sidelined with injuries. Should you sit them or start them in LA against the red-hot Rams? For the Colts, running back Marlon Mack has been hobbled with an ankle injury and is questionable. If he's active, is he a must-play against a Raiders defense that's giving up almost 30 points per game? The only way to make winning start-sit decisions is to use proven Week 8 Fantasy football rankings like the one you'll find at SportsLine.

When it comes to ranking players, their advanced computer model beat human experts in Fantasy football last season when there were big differences in ranking. And the model was closest to the hole overall, meaning it best pinpointed where every player would finish each week. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning your league or going home empty-handed.

Last week, the model was extremely high on Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders, saying he would finish as a top-12 receiver. The result: Sanders exploded for 102 receiving yards and a touchdown and had a passing score as well. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on their way to a Week 7 victory.

Now the model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, has revealed its latest Week 8 Fantasy Football rankings. One player it loves this week: Raiders RB Doug Martin

Marshawn Lynch was placed on injured reserve this week and, as a result, Martin is being thrust into the feature back role in Jon Gruden's offense. And while that hasn't always been a fruitful role, it should provide an opportunity against the Colts.

Indianapolis surrenders an average of 25.5 points per game to fantasy running backs, 13th-worst in the NFL, and that number swells to 29.2 per game on the road. Available in more than half of CBS Sports leagues, Doug Martin is worth an add this week and flex consideration.

And a massive shocker in the Fantasy football rankings for Week 8: One week removed from a masterful comeback after being down 17-0, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton stumbles and barely finishes among the top 20 quarterbacks.

Newton had two touchdowns and a QB rating of over 100 in last week's dramatic win over the Eagles, but SportsLine's model says he'll struggle big-time against the Ravens, who are in the top 10 in passing yards allowed (291.0) and total yards given up (387.0). The Ravens shut out the Titans two weeks ago and held Drew Brees to 212 yards passing last time out.

The model is also calling for a surprising quarterback you aren't even thinking about to finish in the top five of the rankings. This pick could be the difference between winning big and going home with nothing.

So who should you sit and start this week? Visit SportsLine now to get Week 8 Fantasy football rankings for every position, plus see which QB is going to come out of nowhere to crack the top 5, all from the model that out-performed experts big time last season.
