Fantasy Football vs. Fantasy Baseball ... Pick Your Favorite
Fantasy Football or Fantasy Baseball ... which do you prefer?
Before I even begin writing this blog I know what the majority of you will say. I know Fantasy Football will win this battle, and it won't even be close. But I'm gonna give good ol' Fantasy Baseball the credit it deserves and tell you why it might be better than Fantasy Football. I'll present both sides of the debate, and of course please weigh in with your thoughts.
WHY FANTASY BASEBALL IS BETTER THAN FANTASY FOOTBALL:
-More challenging. More commitment is required. You gotta earn the wins!
-In Roto leagues you're not going to win or lose based on one great or lousy week. Full season stats matter.
-You've got games every day! How cool is that!?
-Research seems to pay off more than it does in Fantasy Football. I find Fantasy Football to be a little more random and injury-driven than baseball.
WHY FANTASY FOOTBALL IS BETTER THAN FANTASY BASEBALL:
-It's shorter. I personally wouldn't mind shortening the Fantasy Baseball season (and the MLB season for that matter) but I can't get enough support for that.
-Most of the action happens on one day! How cool is that!?
-It's so mainstream. Gives you something to talk about with friends, co-workers, total strangers, that girl at the bar, etc.
-It's football. Most people like football more than they like baseball.
-Goes on first and cleans the hair. Conditioner only leaves the hair silky and smooth.
I cover both Fantasy Baseball and Fantasy Football and I truly do love both. In fact, before I started seriously playing Fantasy Baseball a few years ago I would have been like "PSH! STUPID DEBATE" at the sight of this blog. But I've learned to appreciate Fantasy Baseball. So I'm gonna say I prefer ... Fantasy Football! By a nose. How about you?
