Everett (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

This is an improvement after Everett missed all three practices prior to being inactive for Sunday's win over the Bengals. It's still a short week to recover ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Cowboys, so staying on the field through Wednesday's session will be crucial for his chances to play. If he's ruled out again, Troy Apke will start at free safety.
