Smith (Achilles) reverted to injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Smith, who ended last season on IR with the same Achilles injury, was waived with an injury designation Tuesday. The 2021 fourth-round pick went unclaimed and has reverted back to the Giants' IR, where he'll be forced to stay for the entire 2023 campaign barring an injury settlement with the team.
