Smith was elevated to the active roster Saturday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Smith joined the Giants' practice squad earlier this week and will immediately move up to the active roster ahead of a matchup against his former team. The sixth-year linebacker is expected to provide depth at linebacker for a Giants roster that is missing multiple players to COVID-19.
