Giants' Odell Beckham: Game-time decision Monday

Beckham (ankle) has officially been listed as questionable for Monday night's tilt against the Lions, but the expectation is that he will make his season debut, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

Beckham has been trending in this direction all week, and after another limited practice session Saturday, he's on track to be a true game-time decision. The Giants are optimistic, however, that their star receiver will be able to take the field. It remains to be seen how heavy of a workload the 24-year-old will handle if he does indeed return to action in Week 2, but the team would presumably be inclined to ease Beckham back into the swing of things in order to avoid the wideout aggravating his injury. Although they were relatively quiet in the absence of Beckham in the season opener, Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and Roger Lewis all could be in line for expanded roles once again in the event that the Giants' marquee pass catcher ends up limited or ultimately remains sidelined Monday.
